Meath Co Council granted planning permission in 2009 for 20 two-storey houses on the site which is located off the Dublin Road. The land was bought by a local builder.

Loman Dempsey of Savills, who handled the sale, also secured €850,000 for 2.60 hectares (6.44 acres) zoned for a residential scheme at Ratoath village. The agency had been guiding €350,000/ €400,000 for the land which is located behind the recently developed Corballis shopping centre and apartment complex.

Savills also sold at auction a site of 1.18 hectares (2.9 acres) at Clonsilla on the Dublin-Meath border for €950,000 – well above the €550,000 guide price.
