Claire’s Accessories, which specialises in fashionable jewellery and accessories, has opened its first Irish store in five years at Manor West shopping centre in Tralee. The company operates 35 outlets in Ireland and more than 3,500 worldwide. It will pay rent of €40,000 per year for its new Tralee store which has a floor area of 100sq m (1,087sq ft).
George Ross of Jones Lang LaSalle said the retailer's decision to expand in Ireland has been triggered by a combination of improved terms offered by the landlord and a stabilisation in trading conditions. Jason Miller of Colliers International acted for the landlords.
