McDonald’s unveils €2m Grafton Street refurbishment

The McDonald’s fast food outlet on Dublin’s Grafton Street has reopened after a substantial refurbishment programme costing more than €2 million.

A new facade has been provided incorporating several of the original features including a white stone band and bronze window frame.

Seating capacity in the restaurant has been increased by 100 to 300.

The business first opened in O’Connell Street 37 years ago and now employs 130 staff members there.

McDonald’s operate 87 food outlets in the Republic and has an overall staff of 4,500.
