Coillte seeks planning permission, new PAYE system due in 2019, Henkel 3-D investment

Semi-state forestry group Coillte plans to apply for planning permission for about 59 new homes on a 3.2-hectare site that it owns in Moycullen, Co Galway, reports Ciarán Hancock

This is one of three sites – the others being in Cork and Mayo – identified by Coillte as surplus to its own operations and potentially suitable for residential housing as part of the Government’s plan Rebuilding Ireland.

Employees are to receive entitlements from tax allowances and credits more quickly under a new system being introduced in 2019, but it will also mean additional costs for employers ,who will in future have to provide information to the Revenue Commissioners on a real-time basis.
