The Minister for Finance has established a central treasury service at the National Treasury Management Agency that will allow it to offer cash management facilities to health boards, local authorities and non-commercial State bodies. Mr McCreevy said the objective of the service was to offer noncommercial State bodies a competitive service in the areas of deposit and loan facilities to achieve Exchequer savings.
