British Sky Broadcasting Group (BSkyB) will launch its 200channel digital satellite TV service on October 1st at discounted prices aimed at levelling the playing field against its main rival.

BSkyB will offer new subscribers its digital satellite TV system - including a satellite dish, a set-top box and remote control - for about £200 sterling, while existing customers will be able to buy the system for £160 sterling.
