Bank of Ireland has introduced a new investment product, Combination Equity Bond Series 2, following strong demand for the previous combination equity bond, which was launched in August and is now closed.

The bond is a capital-secured investment product. It offers a combination of a 5.75 year tracker bond, with a return based on the performance of a selection of stock market indices, and a one year fixed-rate deposit paying 5.5 per cent gross. A minimum of 50 per cent of the investment must be in the tracker, but customers have the option to invest up to 100 per cent in the tracker. The basket of indices comprises FTSE 100, Nikkei 300, Eurostoxx 50 and S&P 500.
