First Rate Enterprises, a Bank of Ireland subsidiary, has retained the Post Office Counters contract for the provision of foreign exchange services throughout Britain for a further three years. Mr Frank Smyth, managing director of First Rate, said the contract was won in the face of stiff competition. According to Bank of Ireland, Post Office Counters has the largest retail network in Europe, with 28 million customers passing through its outlets every week.
