The Tanaiste, Ms Harney, has opened a FAS asylum seekers unit in Dublin. The initiative will assist asylum seekers entering the workplace and hopes to deal with up to 2,500 people over the next two years. Ms Harney said: "With labour shortages being experienced in most sectors of the Irish labour market, this service will provide an additional resource to employers actively looking for employees."
