MINING company Arcon International has announced results of further exploratory drilling at Galmoy, Co Kilkenny.

An additional 330,000 tonnes of lead and zinc ore have been discovered at the site, where Arcon is currently constructing a mine. This brings the total minable reserves discovered to date to over eight million tonnes, according to Mr Tony O'Reilly, the deputy chief executive of the company and the son of its largest shareholder, Dr Tony O'Reilly.
