Apple Computer warned yesterday that it would post its first quarterly operating loss in three years as sales fell far short of expectations. Apple said it expected to post revenue of about $1 billion (€1.13 billion) and a net loss, excluding investment gains, as high as $250 million, when it reports first quarter results on January 17.
