Anglo Irish Bank has raised £375 million sterling (€612 million) in its first ever securitisation of loans. Anglo Irish's managing director in the UK, Mr John Rowan said: "This transaction, which is our entry into the securitisation market, increases the bank's capital efficiency and gives us access to a new source of funding. It underlines the bank's ability to successfully raise senior debt and capital funding in the international financial markets."
