An Post has launched a new online bill paying service at www.billpay.ie. Internet users will be able to pay their bills using a credit card, Laser card or directly through their bank account. Bills can also be viewed on screen and the service is being offered free of charge.

It has the capacity to pay over 65 different bills including Eircom, Esat Digifone, Irish Multichannel, Spirit Telcom and Swiftcall. Users will have to register with the service and submit their financial details over a secure fully encrypted Internet connection. These details will be stored by An Post.
