Aspiring entrepreneurs set their sights on start-up success

The latest AIB Start-up Night was held in the Radisson Blu, Athlone, on Thursday, June 26th. The academy is a joint venture between The Irish Times and AIB to help people start business by providing information, networking opportunities and the chance to win a place on an intensive training course run by Irish Times Training.

These nights are the first stage in the process and connect aspiring entrepreneurs with like-minded people and the wider startup community. The event was hosted by Conor Pope, and featured talks from local entrepreneur Brian Fitzpatrick (Oriel Sea Salt Ltd) and Roz Martin (MedCol), as well as "pitches" by three startups: Darren Doyle of Studio 93, George Martin from the National Sports Centre, and Karol Mroszczyk of Tablet Store Ltd.
