Ella Shanahan has been appointed Agribusiness Correspondent.

She first joined the staff of The Irish Times in 1972 and has held posts including agriculture correspondent, political reporter, farm business correspondent, London Editor and editor of the Education and Living section.

She has also worked with RTE radio, the Irish Examiner, Cork Local Radio and the Waterford News & Star.
