ACT, one of the Republic's leading venture capital companies, said yesterday it had participated in a £5.4 million (€6.9 million) initial fundraising in Realcall, a British Internet callback service provider. ACT said it was investing £1.2 million of the fund, representing a stake of around 17 per cent of the company, while Advent, another venture capital firm, was investing £3 million. The remaining £1.2 million is being put up by private investors. ACT said it expected to invest further funds in the firm.
