ProfileAccountant Mr Tom Grace is one of the most highly-regarded and experienced liquidators in the State. A senior partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr Grace is a former captain of the Irish rugby team and scored a memorable try in a 1973 game against New Zealand at Lansdowne Road.
Born in 1948 in Newbridge, Co Kildare, his parents owned a toy shop in Dún Laoghaire. He has said that he always wanted to be an accountant, and after studying at Newbridge College and UCD, he joined the firm of Craig Gardner.
He has acted as receiver in a number of high-profile insolvency cases including Johnston Mooney and O'Brien, Hospitals Trust Ltd and the Irish Press. More recently, he has been acting as receiver to the failed Cork stockbroking firm W and R Morrogh.
