Isn't it a drag when you have to reset the date on your watch because the month only has 28, 29 or 30 days, but you accidentally zoom past today's date, so you have to keep on going, twirling and twirling, your fingers going blue and your mind going numb with the boredom of it all, until eventually you SNAP.
Well now you can say goodbye to that thumb-twiddling misery with Seiko's new "future-proof" timepiece.
The Perpetual Calendar Watch will tell the correct date until February 28th 2100, by which time - how should one put this - you care little for what day it is.
The watch contains the world's smallest ultrasonic motor, a new high-frequency oscillator and a new-generation lithium battery that only has to be changed once every decade.
It is also made from titanium, 10bar water-resistant and accurate to within plus-or-minus 20 seconds per year.
The Seiko Perpetual Calendar Watch, £395 for the pure titanium model and £295 for the mixed metal, is available at Seiko stockists everywhere.
