Bord na Mona is to invest £7 million (€8.9 million) in a new mill peat processing plant in Co Roscommon

Bord na Mona is to invest £7 million (€8.9 million) in a new mill peat processing plant in Co Roscommon. The plant will be located in the Derryfadda bogs at Ballyforan. The new plant will provide fuel for the new electricity power stations at Lanesboro and Shannonbridge. It is estimated that 120 jobs will be created at the site.
