About 3,600 companies are on the latest strike-off list issued by the Companies Registration Office, the first list to be published since July.

The companies on the list, which are liable to be struck off if they have not filed returns within one month, include Irish Pride Bakeries, of Thomas Street, Dublin.

Other companies listed include Adsell Public Relations, Claddagh Records, and Quaker Oats Petfood Company. As reported earlier this week, the Celtic Helicopters subsidiary, Celtic Helicopters Maintenance and Services, has been listed for strike off.

The parent company was the subject of a High Court order in August, which compelled it to file returns by the end of the month.

The company complied with the order.

Other companies included in the list published yesterday include Irish Academic Press, Durkan Properties, Merlin Films International and Cathal Black Productions.

A spokeswoman for TV3 said TV3 Broadcasting, which has been listed for strike-off, had "no link whatsoever" with the television station.

Companies office files state that the company is involved in real estate.

The directors include accountant Mr Ozzie Kilkenny, Dublin, and Mr John McGuckian, Ballymena, Co Antrim.

Other companies on the list include Social & Personal Publications (Holdings) and Limerick 95FM.

The complete list is available on the Company Registration Office's website: www.cro.ie

The office has published five lists since it introduced the practice of publishing the lists in June. The office is involved in a process of cleaning off the register companies which are not active or are negligent in complying with their obligations under company law.
