A relatively small investment of £2 million (€2.54 million) by the Government would make a big difference to the smog-bound future of commuters, says the Irish LP Gas Association, which insists that smog has returned to Dublin courtesy of vehicle exhaust emissions - not coal fires.

It wants reduced vehicle registration tax (VRT) on new taxis and public service transport vehicles that use LP gas.
