Irish subscription marketplace Taly is targeting up to €2 million in a fundraising round as it plans further growth overseas and signs up Fulfil Nutrition as a new partner.
The company, which was established by sisters Alexandra and Kerri Sheeran, is planning to launch in the UK later this month, and is taking on UK brands for home-delivery subscriptions.
Previously bootstrapped, Taly is now targeting between €1.5 million and €2 million in a funding round to help support its expansion.
“We are currently in the process of fundraising,” said Kerri. “We have a lot of interest from both angels and VCs in both Ireland and the UK. We are very careful about choosing the most suitable investors that will bring value to Taly.”

Taly is the first centralised platform in Ireland for subscriptions across a range of sectors. It is designed to make subscriptions easy to manage and cancel, offering customers a single point of management for services; part of the selling point of the service is that it enables consumers to take control over their subscriptions in a single place. Among the categories on offer are meal kits, beauty and grooming, health, coffee and alcohol.
“The subscription market is growing at such a rapid rate, especially over in the UK and the USA; we want to be that one stop platform for all subscriptions,” said Alexandra. “We want to provide that one marketplace for all subscriptions, the one touch point, as well as building that technology for retailers to configure subscriptions and allow customers to buy a subscription from them.”

The deal with Fufil Nutrition is seen as a milestone for the company, making it the only website to offer a subscription to the protein bar company’s products. The subscriptions include a single monthly subscription for individual flavours, with boxes of between 15 and 18 bars each month, or a top five flavours box.
“We have been working on this partnership for a few months now as we were very determined to have such an amazing well established brand offered on Taly, which we truly believe is a very attractive offering,” said Alexandra. “This partnership gives Taly the confidence that we will continue to grow in the right direction and only add more to our offering, helping us to gain traction.”
It also marks a major step into leading brands in fast moving consumer goods for Taly, making it more accessible for consumers.
