How long has Optum been operating in Ireland and where are its key locations?
We are proud to be a long-standing contributor to the Irish economy and community, supporting global healthcare systems from Ireland for more than 25 years. Today, we have more than 2,100 employees across two hubs, in Dublin and Letterkenny, and both locations play a central role in our global innovation strategy.

What roles will Optum Ireland be hiring?
We are always on the lookout for talented individuals with skills in data engineering, data science, analytics and related areas. We also have an increasing need for talent with pharmaceutical or pharmacy backgrounds, as we deepen our capabilities and service offerings.
Depending on your expertise, you could be involved in:
- Product development: Shaping the design and delivery of healthcare solutions that solve real-world problems. This includes working closely with engineering, UX and data teams to build scalable digital tools used by clinicians, patients, and health systems globally.
- Data science: Using a sound foundation in statistics, extracting analytical insights from data and applying machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to predict outcomes, as well as traditional analytic techniques.
- Data engineering: Acquiring data sets, developing data transformation algorithms and pipelines, transforming, validating and enriching routines, while ensuring compliance.
- Analytics: Analysing healthcare data to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Pharma services and operations: Supporting areas such as regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, quality assurance, supply chain management, pricing, contracting and market access across the pharmacy and pharmaceutical landscape.
