Google Ireland appoints Vanessa Hartley as managing director of large customer sales hub

Dublin unit works with Google’s biggest customers on their digital transformation

Google Ireland has announced the appointment of Vanessa Hartley as Managing Director of its EMEA Large Customer Sales (LCS) Hub

Google Ireland has appointed Vanessa Hartley to lead its Dublin-based large customer sales hub for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

The large customer sales teams work with Google’s biggest customers on their digital transformation, partnering with stakeholders to use automation and insights to drive digitalisation.

Ms Hartley, who joined Google in 2014, has held a number of roles at the tech giant, including heading up its central Europe business and leading its EMEA central operations and planning. Before joining Google in 2014, Ms Hartley was head of personal banking and product strategy at Permanent TSB. She also worked with Irish Life Health as commercial director, and as group marketing director for Aviva Ireland.

“We’ve seen significant shifts in consumer expectations over the past two years and consequently how our customers have reimagined their strategies. In addition, we have many new googlers who joined over the past two years, so starting the process of returning to the office and engaging our hybrid work model is an exciting moment for our teams. As we do this, we will listen, learn, grow and adapt — that’s always been the Google way.”
