Wexford's Cullen and Hegarty to start

Wexford defender Shane Cullen has been passed fit for Sunday's Allianz National Football League final in Croke Park.

Although a minor back injury had ruled him out of training since last Wednesday, manager Pat Roe was last night satisfied that Cullen was fit to start, and thus retains his place at left wing back.

Wing forward John Hegarty was another concern for Roe as he had been recently laid low with the flu, but he too retains his place for Sunday.

It means Wexford will start with the same team that beat Tyrone in the semi-final last Sunday week. Diarmuid Kinsella will again partner Nicky Lambert at midfield, with Matty Forde joining Redmond Barry and team captain John Hudson in the full forward line.

Opponents Armagh will finalise their team this evening, and with manager Joe Kernan reporting no major injury concerns within his panel, they will be at full strength. Full forward Ronan Clarke has been held back at training this week because of an ankle injury, but is expected to be fit to start.

Both Kilkenny and Clare should also be at full strength for their National Hurling League tie on Monday. Kilkenny welcomed back Derek Lyng and Peter Barry to training this week after recent injury problems, although Clare still have doubts about the availability of wing forward Barry Nugent, who picked up a shoulder injury against Cork and missed the last league outing against Wexford.

The GAA issued a reminder yesterday of the earlier start times of Monday's All-Ireland Colleges' finals in Semple Stadium in the Thurles - the curtain-raisers to the hurling league final.

The Hogan Cup football final between Knockbeg College, Laois and St Mary's of Galway will now get under way at 1pm, and the Croke Cup hurling final between St Kieran's of Kilkenny and St Flannan's of Ennis will have a 3pm throw-in. The time changes have been made in order to provide for the playing of extra time in the event of a draw in either game.

The hurling league final will start at 4.30pm as scheduled. All three games will be broadcast live by TG4 - as will both the National Football League finals from Croke Park on Sunday, starting with Monaghan against Meath in Division Two at 2pm and Armagh against Wexford in Division One at 3.45pm.

Ticket distribution for Sunday's football league finals in Croke Park will go through normal channels. They'll also be selling at Croke Park's ticket office today, tomorrow and Saturday. Entrance for Monday's hurling final in Thurles will be made by cash at the stiles.
