A website for the World Cross-Country Championships in Dublin on March 24th25th should be up and running over the next few days.

Creating specific websites is now normal for big events, but the Athletic Association of Ireland were equally pleased to see a different era of their sport healthily represented at Wednesday's launch at Leopardstown. Douglas Coard, looking incredibly healthy, ran for Ireland in the equivalent events of 1924 and 1925. At 98 years of age, and, as they say, walking on his own two feet, he was not only looking forward to the championships but his cheque from the President in two years.
