Did Alex Ferguson hint, in his interview with Henry Winter in Saturday's Telegraph, that his captain uses foul and abusive language? Speaking about the United players' much criticised confrontation with referee Andy D'Urso a couple of weeks ago, Ferguson said: "I felt for the referee. He's a new, young referee. Sometimes if players don't know a referee they can't say "what's your ****ing name, you ****?" If it had been Paul Durkin, they would have said "for ****'s sake, Paul, Christ almighty, what sort of ****ing decision is that?" And Paul would have said: "Listen, Roy, **** off".
