CRICKET:Ireland go into next week's Twenty20 series still looking for their first victory over South African 'A' after yesterday's final one-day game was abandoned at Stormont due to rain.

The tourists had already wrapped up the series 2-0 and made it to 240 for four in the 47th over when the sides were forced off for a final time.

Opening batsman Reeza Hendricks finished unbeaten on 120 from 131 balls, while Farhaan Behardien (51) and Richard Levi (39) also contributed well.

Limavady and Somerset all-rounder Stuart Thomspon took three wickets for 51, and will be out to impress again in next week’s four T20 clashes having been named in the Ireland squad for next month’s World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka.
