Brian Kerr has named a squad of 18 players for next week's UEFA qualifying tournament in Northern Ireland. There are few changes from the panel gathered together by the Irish manager for the friendly game with Scotland last month, although Huddersfield's Dwane Mattis and Eric Molloy of Manchester United do come into the reckoning.

Paul Forsyth of Blackburn, Thomas Butler of Sunderland and Arsenal's Graham Barrett were all ruled out of consideration due to injury, while David Warren from Mayfield United in Cork is amongst the players on stand-by for a late call up if there are any problems over the coming week.

The tournament is a three-team, round robin group, with Northern Ireland and Belgium competing against Kerr's side for a place in the finals of the UEFA Under-16 Championships in Scotland in May.

Squad: Joe Murphy (Tranmere), Daniel O'Connor (Peterborough), Jim Goodwin (Celtic), Alan Martin (Leeds), John O'Shea (Waterford Bohemians), Keith Foy (Notts Forest), Brian O'Callaghan (Pike Rovers), Ian Rossiter (Galway United), Kevin Grogan (Man Utd), Brendan McGill (Rivervalley Rangers), Liam Miller (Celtic), Sean Byrne (West Ham), Andrew Reid (Notts Forest), David McMahon (Newcastle), Shane Barrett (Home Farm), Gary Dempsey (Everton).
