Cork Constitution's centre and wing John Kelly will move to the wing in the absence of the injured Anthony Horgan, who has a torn calf muscle, for tomorrow's All-Ireland League semi-final against Young Munster at Temple Hill (1.00 p.m.).

Kelly came off injured in his side's match against Ballymena but is fit to resume.

Although coach Brian Hickey has not yet finalised his team, that shift should allow Ronan O'Donovan settle in the centre with Conor O'Mahony.

However, their influential number eight Ultan O'Callaghan remains doubtful. He has been out of competition for four weeks with a broken knuckle. If he does make it his brother Donnacha will move to the second row, otherwise he should remain at number eight.

Young Munster report no injuries. They will field the same team as the one which beat Belfast Harlequins 48-19 last weekend, a score which saw the Ulster side relegated.

Dungannon, who face Galwegians in the other semi-final at Glenina (3.00 p.m.), also report no injuries with Willy Anderson expecting to field a full strength squad. Anderson, who has been rotating players at prop and flanker, has not yet declared his hand.

Galwegians are not likely to select until Saturday morning when they perform a little stocktaking on their various injuries. Three players, number eight Michael Swift, hooker Paul Cleary and prop Dan McFarland are expected to be fit for the match while they are hopeful that Willy Ruane returns after missing the last two matches with bruised ribs.

Johnny O'Connor, who has had the cast removed from a broken forearm is out while Junior Charlie's stomach complaint is not likely to keep him from declaring himself available.

On the international front Bath and Ireland's Kevin Maggs has secured a place in the Barbarians starting line-up against Scotland in Murrayfield on May 24th. Centre Maggs joins Munster's John Langford with the possibility that Geordan Murphy may also make an appearance.

Murphy is involved with Leicester's European Cup final against Stade Francais and if he comes through that match uninjured, it's likely he will get a run against Scotland.

Ireland's Keith Wood at hooker and scrumhalf Paul Burke will also line out for English side Harlequins, who will be at full strength for Sunday's European Shield final against Narbonne at the Madejski Stadium. Harlequins, who will qualify for next season's Heineken Cup if they beat the French side, reported a clean bill of health.

Jim Lowry has been appointed coaching co-ordinator of Old Wesley for the coming season. Lowry brought Carlow into the All-Ireland League Division Four in 1997 before taking them to Division Two in successive seasons.
