Two places in the Leinster football championship quarterfinal stage remain unclaimed. Tomorrow, Colaiste Eoin face Marist College for the right to play Moate CS, and St Peter's Wexford take on Scoil Iosagain for the right to play All-Ireland champions St Patrick's, Navan.
The most appetising quarterfinal, however, is the meeting of Good Counsel and St Mel's. Both schools were stung last year by the progression of St Patrick's. The drive to get another crack at the Navan school will ensure an engaging collision.
St Patrick's continue to burn a convincing route to the final. They fielded six of last year's All-Ireland winning side in their 17-point win over Scoil Dheaglain last Friday, and finished with nine players on the scoresheet.
Current Ulster football champions St Patrick's, Armagh face their first real test this year when they play St Michael's, Enniskillen on Saturday. Somewhat unlucky to fall to St Patrick's in last year's Ulster final, St Michael's won't be easily dismissed.
