Spain's Oriol Ripol will be able to write a tourist's guide to Gloucester following his experiences of the last couple of weeks. The international wing played for Spain against Gloucester in the European Shield and then decided to go to Welsh club Bridgend for a week to gather some experience.
Who should the Welsh club face in their next match but Gloucester. Ripol is not eligible to play but will watch the game from the stands. Having finished his stay at the Welsh club he will return to Spain and the first match in which he will play will be against . . . Gloucester.
