Around these parts we've had a soft spot for Partick Thistle supremo John Lambie ever since the day he uttered the immortal line: "Our first goal was pure textile". Not to mention the time he said, when informed one of his strikers was concussed during a game, "that's great, tell him he's Pele and get him back on".

He gave us a chuckle again last week when he, a born-again Christian mark you, told the Scottish Daily Record that "I'm angry and upset because we have not had the breaks in our last three games and I just want to know when it will be our f****** turn." Indeed.
