After claiming a third successive Dr Harty Cup last weekend, St Flannan's, Ennis, will attempt to complete the second half of a Munster double when the footballers meet Tralee CBS in Sunday's Corn Ui Mhuiri final at Kilmallock (3.0).

Yet it won't be an easy task. St Flannan's last won the football title in 1995 while Tralee CBS, the defending champions, are second on the all-time list with 14 titles. More significantly, Tralee had a 10-point margin over Kerry rivals St Brendan's in their semi-final, while St Flannan's sneaked past Intermediate College Killorglin by a single score.

Still, there are seven dual players in the St Flannan's panel this year - including the talented Andrew Quinn, John Culkin and Ger O'Grady - and that will provide both the incentive and experience to push Tralee to their best. The last team to win the double in Munster was Colaiste Iognaid Ris of Cork in 1975.

In Leinster, Sunday's hurling final at Dr Cullen Park (3.30) has again pitched the defending champions St Kieran's, Kilkenny, against Dublin Colleges - a repeat of last year's final.

Both sides had comfortable semi-final wins, with Tipperary minor Eoin Kelly the outstanding St Kieran's player when scoring 1-8 in their 17-point victory over Good Counsel. For Dublin Colleges, two goals from full forward Stephen Fee was the difference in their win over Kilkenny CBS.

Meanwhile, St Michael's, Enniskillen will defend the MacRory Cup title for Ulster senior football when they take on St Patrick's, Armagh at Casement Park today They will be seeking a third Ulster title in the last 10 years. St Patrick's have to go back to 1953 for their last provincial title, although they have lost two finals in the last decade.
