New Dublin hurling manager Marty Morris will field a notably under-strength team against Down in Sunday's Walsh Cup, his first competitive game with the county, which precedes Dublin's O'Byrne Cup football semi-final against Kildare at Naomh Mearnóg in Portmarnock.
Regular players Ger Ennis, Derek O'Reilly and Stephen McDonnell were all ruled out with injury, while Stephen Perkins and Dave Sweeney were both unavailable. Dual player David O'Callaghan will also be missing because of club duty.
The Dublin football team, again under caretaker manager Dave Billings, sees two changes from the team which beat Wicklow last Sunday. Goalkeeper Stephen Cluxton, on club duty, is replaced by Alan Durnan, while John Noonan replaces O'Callaghan in the forwards.
Sunday's O'Byrne Cup semi-final involving Wexford and Longford has been moved from Enniscorthy to Gorey, with the same 2.0 throw-in.
