THE GALWAY hurling final replay, which was called off at the weekend due to an unplayable pitch, has been fixed for next Sunday in Athenry (2pm).

The game will go ahead on Sunday, despite Galway football champions Killererin taking on St Brigid’s of Roscommon in the Connacht club final 25 miles away in Tuam at the same time.

Meanwhile, the club championship continues to wind towards its climax with only two provincial final pairings yet to be decided.

The Munster Council announced yesterday their hurling final between Waterford champions De La Salle and Tipperary champions Thurles Sarsfields will be played at Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Sunday week, November 28th.
