Philip Clifford (Bantry Blues)

One of the strongest football clubs in west Cork, Bantry Blues won their first county title in 1996 and then a second last year. Before that it achieved long-standing success as a junior and intermediate side, producing such Cork senior players as Declan Barron (1973 All-Ireland champions) and Donal Hunt, who won minor, under-21 (captain in 1970) and a senior (1973) medals. It has played on the home field of Wolfe Tone Park since the 1950s.

Graham Geraghty (Seneschalstown)

Geraghty was part of the side that won its second ever county title in 1994, the first coming in 1972. The club has also experienced success at all juvenile levels, where Geraghty also played a big role, and plays on the home field of Father Tully Park. There has also been a long tradition of representatives on the Meath team since the 1930s, including Colm Coyle on the winning All-Ireland side of 1988. Like Clifford, should Meath win on Sunday then Geraghty would become their first All-Ireland winning captain.
