On today’s In the News podcast, Patrick Freyne speaks to six teenagers about the way their generation consumes news and the issues they really care about.

The six young writers will this week provide the content for The Irish Times Magazine for its first ever Teenager Edition.

The six volunteers tackle subjects including the pitfalls of TikTok, why many young women drop out of sport and what it is like to be a wheelchair user.

Ben, Darragh, Grace, Niamh, Laoise and Wiktoria talk candidly to Patrick about a wide range of issues, from the housing crisis to climate change and how legacy media sometimes fails them.
