A search is continuing this afternoon for a man who is believed to have fallen overboard from a trawler off the Mayo coast.
The incident happened some time around 9 a.m. about 40 miles west of Achill Island.
An Irish Coastguard spokesman said helicopters from Shannon and Sligo as well as the Achill Lifeboat were searching the area.
