While Dublin received the Heineken Green Energy treatment a month ago, it's now the turn of Cork and Galway. The respective outdoor venues are the Munster Showgrounds and the Castlegar Sportsgrounds, both playing host (from Friday, for the bank holiday weekend) to the likes of Moby, Van Morrison, Fun Lovin' Criminals, Counting Crows and a Led Zeppelin-free, back-to-basics Robert Plant. It's another all-encompassing, inclusive demographic marketing ploy from the lager-than-life sponsors: Fun Lovin' Criminals and Moby for the bright young things, Van Morrison/Robert Plant for the over 30s/40s and Counting Crows for the inbetweenies. This could well be the official start to a rock'n'roll summer.
