Legendary American hip hop artists Public Enemy have been confirmed for the Electric Picnic music festival along with a host of other new acts.

Public Enemy released two of the biggest albums of the 1980s, It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back followed by Fear of a Black Planet.

They have confirmed that they will play Fear of a Black Planet in its entirety in London in advance of their performance at Electric Picnic. The festival takes place in Stradbally from September 2nd to 4th.

Others confirmed for the festival include The Undertones who will perform their eponymous debut album in full, surf rockers The Drums, Philadelphia singer Santigold and Power of Dreams who were big back in the 1980s and have reformed to record a new album.
