Man who went missing after city party sought

FÁILTE IRELAND staff have begun a campaign to trace a colleague not seen since he left a party last Friday night.

Damian O’Brien (37), from Clonakilty, Co Cork, but living in Drumcondra, Dublin, was last seen by friends at 11pm last Friday at Percy Place near Baggot Street Bridge.

Colleagues became concerned when he failed to turn up for work on Monday at Fáilte Ireland’s Dublin offices.

Efforts to reach Mr O’Brien on his mobile phone failed and he did not show for a flight to London on Tuesday. His mobile remained turned off, so gardaí were alerted.

More than 60 of the man’s colleagues and friends began distributing literature with his photograph in Dublin last night in hopes that members of the public saw him after he left his friends. It is intended to distribute the literature again over the weekend.

Mr O’Brien is described as 175cm, of medium build with short black hair and sallow complexion. He has a faded scar on his forehead. He was wearing a black blazer and pink scarf when last seen. Anyone with details is asked to contact Mountjoy gardaí on (01) 666 8600.
