Man (23) dies in Kerry collision

A 23-year-old man has died following a two-vehicle road traffic collision in Co Kerry last night.

The crash happened at about 8.45pm last night when the man's car collided with a tractor and trailer at Abbeydorney near Tralee.

The injured man was taken to Tralee General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The road remains closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardai have called on members of the public who may have witnessed the incident to contact Tralee Garda Station at 066 – 7102300, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
