Applications are invited for the two-year, part-time MA programme in school chaplaincy and pastoral care run by the Mater Dei Institute.

Mater Dei is a constituent college of DCU and the next MA programme begins in September 2002. However, early application is advised as there is already considerable interest in the course, not least because it is offered in four locations: Dublin, Cork, Kilkenny and Mayo. The course is aimed at those in the teaching profession who would like to specialise in chaplaincy and pastoral care. Those applying should ideally have a primary degree, a teaching qualification and a background in religious education or theology. The course fees are £1,250 per year, but James Norman of Mater Dei says that many students are assisted financially by their schools. Course fees are tax deductible. For an application form, contact (01) 8040060 or email aoife.mallic@materdei.dcu.ie
