Those with children interested in taking up vocational training opportunities are eligible for help with childcare costs through F┴S, the national training and employment authority. The childcare may be provided in crΦches, playgroups or with childminders and it covers children up to 13 years of age. Those with older children (14 and 18 years) who need after-school care may also be eligible for assistance, albeit at a reduced rate. For those in full-time training the allowance is £50 per week per child aged 13 years or under and £25 per week per child between the ages of 14 and 18 years. For those in part-time training the assistance is £30 per week per child aged 13 years or under and £25 per week per child 14 to 18 years.

For more information or to apply for assistance contact your local F┴S office.
