A few places still remain on the new distance-learning degree programme in mutual and credit union business offered through the faculty of commerce at University College Cork. The degree programme has been put together by the Centre for Co-operative Studies in association with the centre for adult continuing education at UCC. The new programme is designed to be as flexible as possible and enables those who have already completed the diploma in credit union studies or the diploma in social integration and enterprise to progress directly into second year. Students can opt to undertake the full degree over three, four, five or six years. Tutorials are held in regional centres located in Cork, Dublin and Limerick for the academic year 2001-2002. Further information about the course is available at www.ucc.ie/acad/foodecon/centre_b.html or telephone Bridget Carroll at (021) 4902070 or e-mail b.carroll@ucc.ie.
