Curbs are eased on events and facilities

In Dublin the Ilac, Jervis and St Stephen's Green centres will open from 12.00 to 6.00 p.m. on Monday, as will Arnotts and Brown Thomas.

The Square, Tallaght, is open from 12.00 to 6.00 p.m. on Monday, while the Arthur's Quay centre in Limerick opens from 11.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. The Merchant's Quay centre in Cork will be closed.

Bord Failte advises people to check with local tourist offices about specific events and attractions. Most golf courses are open, sea angling has returned to normal, and restrictions have been eased on coarse and game angling events which do not involve access through farmland.

Most major gardens have reopened, except those adjoining farmland. The Botanic, Iveagh, and War Memorial gardens in Dublin are open, while the Zoo and the Phoenix Park visitors' centre remain closed. Killarney National Park, Co Kerry is still closed, as are the Wicklow Mountains and Glenveagh, Co Donegal, national parks.

Hill-walking is still banned but sign-posted, long-distance walks are available along the banks of the river Barrow and the Royal and Grand canals.

The National Gallery in Dublin is open from 9.30 a.m. to 5.15 p.m. today and from 12.30 to 5.15 p.m. tomorrow and Monday. The National Museum and Collins Barracks, Dublin, are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and 2.005.00 p.m. tomorrow, but closed on Monday.

The West of Ireland amateur golf open at Sligo continues until Tuesday. There will be a full programme of GAA national football and hurling league matches tomorrow.

Major sports events on Monday include the All-Ireland club hurling final at Croke Park and horse racing at Leopardstown, Dublin, and at Mallow, Co Cork.
