A woman (24) has died in a road traffic collision in Co Mayo this morning.
The collision between a car and truck took place at Sheeaune on the N5, the main Westport to Castlebar road at about 9.10am.
The woman, who was a passengers in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car, a man aged 33, was taken to Mayo General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured.
Gardaí have closed the road for forensic collision examination. Diversions are in place.
