Fine art of fashion

The Great Hall in Kilkenny Castle will be the setting on Thursday, November 5th for a spectacle linking fashion and art. Designer Mary McGuinness will showcase a daywear collection of 10 haute-couture silk and denim gowns inspired by artist Brock Butler’s imagery.

Butler will present 10 pieces of art, five of which are those from which McGuinness took her inspiration, with the others being his interpretations of her fashion concepts. The event begins at 7.30pm. Tel: 056-7764098 or info@marymcguinness.ie.
