Robbie Williams fans who were successful in a lottery allocating tickets to his gig at the O2 in Dublin this month were confused yesterday when they got emails confirming tickets for a Glasgow event.

Williams is due to play the Irish concert on September 14th after a promise he made to play another gig in the city after difficulties at his gig in Croke Park in 2006.

Yesterday Ticketmaster apologised for “any disappointment or confusion” caused to Irish fans who got an email referring to the Glasgow date. The issue was due to “a database error”.
